【Exhibition Profile】

The May 2024 Australia International Power and Energy Exhibition will be held from May 7-8, 2024 in Melbourne, Australia. It is the largest public exchange platform in the electricity, transmission and distribution, smart grid, smart meter, water companies, and smart home fields in the region. It is expected that more than 5000 people from 40 countries will attend, with 130+keynote speakers, 100+exhibitors, power industry retailers, distributors, and water departments gathering together to share the latest technologies and project experiences in power and smart grids, exchange opinions on how to achieve the ultimate smart grid, and listen to how the smart product and smart appliance revolution will affect existing business operations and investment strategies.

According to the latest report, the Australian transmission and distribution market is facing severe challenges, requiring changes in existing operating methods and gradually modernizing the electricity market with more intelligent technologies and products. The Australian government is expected to invest $20 billion in building a new transmission and distribution network to accelerate the implementation of new energy projects, while the new energy sector is expected to invest approximately $7.5 billion, including renewable energy and hydroelectric power projects. The Australian government expects renewable energy generation to account for 82% of the national electricity market share by 2030. Taking New South Wales as an example, the state is currently vigorously developing renewable energy and plans to build 12GW of clean energy projects and 2GW of energy storage projects over the next 10 years. The total investment is expected to reach AUD 32 billion.

In addition, in May 2024, the International Power and Energy Exhibition Australia will once again be held in conjunction with the Power GEN Australia and Distribution Australia exhibitions.
